About the Role

Overview

As a Senior Manager of Technology, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the technological infrastructure and initiatives within our organization. You will lead a team of technology professionals, driving innovation, and ensuring the efficient functioning of our technological systems to support our business objectives. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and strong leadership skills to guide our technology strategy and implementation.


Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Provide guidance on technology investments and initiatives to drive business growth and innovation.

  2. Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

  3. Technical Oversight: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's technological infrastructure, including networks, systems, and applications. Ensure that technology solutions are scalable, secure, and reliable to meet current and future business needs.

  4. Project Management: Manage technology projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, milestones, and success criteria.

  5. Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing to ensure optimal value and performance.

  6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the organization's technology systems and develop mitigation strategies. Implement security measures and protocols to protect against cybersecurity threats and data breaches.

  7. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between the technology team and other departments within the organization, providing regular updates, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, and assess their potential impact on the organization. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains through the use of technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience (5 years) in a technology leadership role, with a track record of successfully managing teams and driving technology initiatives.

  • Strong technical background in areas such as infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and software development.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to align technology solutions with business objectives.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results and driving continuous improvement.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
